AICE Media Studies

 This is our video,  hope you enjoy. This was a very fun film to make, I would definitely do this again. 

Here is my movie, I hope you enjoy it. My group had a lot of fun making this video. I would definitely work with this group again. It took us just around two months to fully complete this film.   

 Today my group decided to work on the music for the final project. We went into a call and discussed what music we could use. This would take us around 45 minutes. We wouldn’t be able to actually do the call right away. We wanted to do the call at 6:00. I wasn’t able to join the call then. I was on the way back from a volleyball game. This would take me 45 minuets to get back. Once I got back to school, I went to 7-Eleven. I got a drink and some snacks cause I was hungry. I waited for my dad to pick me up. He got to the school around 7:30. I got home around around 8:00. From there I joined the call and we got to work. We started to talk about the songs we could use. We started to think about the intro. We decided that we could use a neutral song. The reason for this was so we wouldn’t give away any themes about the movie. The scary part we decided to use a an old classic sound. Then we went to the end and decided to use a sad song.

 Our group decided to go over the video. This was done over a a group call. We were talking about what we liked in the video. We also talked about what we did t like in the video. We then looked at the transitions which to us didn’t look like they were good enough. So then we started to think of ways to fix the transitions. This would be talked about between us in the group call. We would tell Alec ideas about the transitions. Then once Alec looked at our ideas he went into the editing software. He then started to work on fixing the transitions. He was working on the intro transitions for the first 30 minutes. Then he worked on the middle transitions. Finally he finished with the end transitions. During this time Marius and I were helping out Alec. He was sharing his screen so we could see what he was doing. So we would suggest certain things to do and he would do it. Then we went around editing certain things. We would look at certain edits and twist them to make them look cooler....

 So today we have finishers with the editing of our video. This was a good thing for us because we are able to see our final product. Once we finished editing we looked over our video. We were looking them to see if anything was bad. We looked it over and everything seemed fine. We then were talking about what to do next. This is where we had some discussion. We had to talk about what we wanted to do next. One person wanted to relax and do nothing. One other person wanted to finish up the rest of the blogs. And I had no clue what to do. We then had an argument on what we should do it went nowhere. Then once we stopped arguing we then had to leave Marius place cause it got late. After we got home we texted each other. This text consists of us talking about what’s the next plan. We couldn’t come up with anything so we just decided to rest. This was what we all thought would be best. We would just relax. Then we would remind each other when we have blogs due. Once we would do that we ...

 So as of today we have finished filming. Well we finished filming on Monday the previous week during spring break. Alec and I meet up at Marius place to film around 12:30. Once we all got there we went right away to filming. We were able to film the first part of the intro. Once we had that finished we had to wait a little bit because Marius parents were finishing up some work. Once they were done with their work they left we were able to film the rest of our project. Once we finished our project we went and started out editing process. This would take us about a couple days. This is cause we wanted to edit each scene first then start to merge them together. We first planned to edit the opening scenes. Then work on merging them together. Then we would work on the middle scenes. Once they would be done we would merge them.  Well for this week we didn’t really do much besides edit our final project. We went over the scenes, too see if any needed to be reshot. None of them seemed like they needed to be redone. We then all laughed at us trying to act. Which by the way is really bad. None of us are that good at acting. While we were doing that we let time pass by and almost forget to upload a previous blog. Once we uploaded our blog, we went and started out editing process. This would take us about a couple days. This is cause we wanted to edit each scene first then start to merge them together. We first planned to edit the opening scenes. Then work on merging them together. Then we would work on the middle scenes. Once they would be done we would merge them. Finally we would work on the final scenes. Then we would merger them together. Finally once we finished all the scenes and merging them together, we would finalize the whole video. While we were filming some scenes Alec and I would just look at each other and start laughing. For a certain scene I had to close my eyes to not laugh.  While I was tasked with thinking about and creating the costumes. In all honesty i am probably just going to make the people were normal clothes. This is because these are teenagers so they wouldn't wear anything old.  Marius and Alec would work together on getting some supplies we needed. Fake blood, and a fake knife. This is why we were not able to film but we are planning on doing that very soon. With the weekend coming up we will be able to buy the supplies we need. This will also give us time to work on getting a better time down. Once we do this we are going to film. With Marius has been having water polo practice everyday after school. He is unable to do much towards the project because the practice ends at 6:00. I have been pre-occupied with volleyball after school. I have practice everyday and this week I have games Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. With those days I don’t have games I have practice.  For this week we have all been pre occupied with our personal business. With Marius has been having water polo practice everyday after school. He is unable to do much towards the project because the practice ends at 6:00. I have been pre-occupied with volleyball after school. I have practice everyday and this week I have games Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. With those days I don’t have games I have practice. This causes Marius and I to both be unable to work towards our final project this week. While Alec is just loaded up with homework from his other classes. With all of us being tied down and unable to work on our project. This goes without saying we all have in mind what we have to do. We just have to find time in order to get done what needs to be done. With the upcoming spring break for our school we will have time to get certain things done.  As I have stated before we have still not started to film our final task. This is for multiple reasons. One is that Marius has water polo after school everyday. Its the same case for me but just with volleyball. I have to be at the gym by 3:00 and we leave by 5:30. So we both cant find time to meet up besides the weekend. With Alec he has other things that he has to do before this such as essays and ACT prep. So when Marius and I have time on the weekend to film which really isn't much time due to us also doing homework. We are missing Alec. So we planned to film over Spring Break.  For this week we had to confirm who was doing what. Marius is going to confirm with the people that we can film in his gated community. While Alec is going to be doing a few things. He will do the editing. He will do the title design. Finally he will do the sound editing. While I'm going to be doing the costume design. Getting certain supplies. I will also be working on getting my sister to film the clips for us. Finally I will be working on co-directing the film.While we are doing this we can't film. My group has not started filming yet. We are still finishing up the brainstorming for the script, and storyboard. Along with still brainstorming we had to study for the SAT. During the days upcoming to the SAT my group was in touch but we had not finished up our ideas yet. This was due to us studying for the SAT's that we would take the following day. We also still have to confirm if we can film at Marius house and gated community. While we were brainstorming about our project we also were working on other things for the project.  Location:   We will be filming at Marius house which is by a school, and a busy street. Schedule: 03/02/21 - 03/18/21 We are going to be finalizing certain things to film our final task. During this time we will be confirming wether or not we will have permission to film in Marius place. Along with confirming the filming spot we will also be getting our outfits ready and getting all the props needed for the film.  03/19/21-  03/26/21- We are going to be filming out final task. This will most likely happen towards the beginning of Spring Break. During Spring Break we will be focusing on filming and editing out Final task. Eventually, we see a big white circle begin to appear, and we realize that it is actually a planet.   The Title Display sequence is from Halloween 3: Season of the Witch, a slasher-mystery movie part of the famous Halloween franchise (yet strangely does not have its main character, Michael Myers). This title sequence was found on Art of the Title. What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? -During the display sequence, we first see the producer's name, before moving on to the actual movie title, before showcasing the actors. What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? -There are no real "images" shown in the opening sequence. Rather, the sequence seems to happen on an old TV, which is an important plot point of the movie. The only "image" that is scene is the TV flickering, with occasional changes of orange light.
