Filming Blog 1 ( serving, setting, bumping montage)
As the day started I told myself i was going to get filming over. I call up my friend to help me film the shots. We load up and drive to the park where we were going to film. When we get there it just finished raining. The sand was very wet and not that easy to play volleyball on, so we wait about an hour for the sand to dry up. Once the sand became dry some people we knew came to the same sand courts we were going to film on and we decided to play a couple of games with them to pass time. Once my friends left we decided to film. We encountered problems when we tried to film. The camera was shaky because the camera man would toss me the ball and also try to keep the camera focused on me. We eventually got it to look decent. We noticed that we could have asked my friends for help with the film but it never crossed my mind at the time. Looking back on it the filming could have gone a lot smoother if we had more help but, I did with what I had. With that out of our mind we continued our filming. We first timed out the three scenes. The serving, the setting and the blocking. I figured that the serving was the most important and then setting and finally blocking. When we got the timing down we moved onto filming. It took us a couple of tries to get the serving down to the right time. We moved on to the setting which only took us 3 tries which was pretty good. We then went on to filming the blocking which took us like 10 tries cause he couldn't get the placement right but finally we finished it up and played some more volleyball then left the park.
