Wilson Commercial



This was my very first filming project, the fact it was a solo project was pretty hard. At first I was confused on what I wanted to do. So I was thinking of commercials I could do. I then thought of sports I like. The first thought in my head was I could do a commercial on swimming commercial for Spedo. Then I thought of doing a water bottle commercial. Then I finally thought of the Wilson Volleyball commercial. I then thought of what I could do for the commercial. I was think of doing something like  there is a final serve for the game winner. Then I was going over the timing and found out that the final serve would be too short. Then I had to think of ways to add time. I came up with an idea to have a montage of clips. I thought of doing a serving, then to a clip of me setting and finally doing a clip of me blocking the ball. I then had to come up with the timing for each of the scenes. This would be based on what I think is most important. So I came up with having serving having the most time which would be around 15 seconds. Then with the setting scene it would take about 7 seconds. Finally the blocking scene would be 3 seconds. I finally went on to editing it and did that in about 30 mins to an hour. I overall had a pretty good experience with this project and am happy with the result product I made.

Genre Research: Lost Girls

  In order to learn more about our genre, our group watched Lost Girls, a murder mystery movie released in 2020. This movie is a nice classic murder mystery, similar to the likes of Clue and Murder on the Orient Express. This movie is what initially drew our interest when researching mystery movies, so we are happy to see it. As we watch this movie, we hope to find elements on the genre, as well as learn a few tricks to make a good mystery. What element of the genre that you chose to base your final task on does this movie have. I n the film Lost Girls a daughter goes missing and was last seen near Oak island beach. The one element that is in this movie is not knowing who did it. We are planning on using the element of not knowing who did it in our film. Which is why we watched this film.  So today we have finishers with the editing of our video. This was a good thing for us because we are able to see our final product. Once we finished editing we looked over our video. We were looking them to see if anything was bad. We looked it over and everything seemed fine. We then were talking about what to do next. This is where we had some discussion. We had to talk about what we wanted to do next. One person wanted to relax and do nothing. One other person wanted to finish up the rest of the blogs. And I had no clue what to do. We then had an argument on what we should do it went nowhere. Then once we stopped arguing we then had to leave Marius place cause it got late. After we got home we texted each other. This text consists of us talking about what’s the next plan. We couldn’t come up with anything so we just decided to rest. This was what we all thought would be best. We would just relax. Title Research: 2001: A Space Odyssey

  What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? - During the Opening sequence, there is, at first, nothing. Then, about 45 seconds in, we get to see the first name. That name is Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, the company who made this movie. The next name, which appears soon after, is that of Stanley Kubrick, the producer of the movie. Finally, we see the title screen. What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? -In the opening sequence, the first image is an all black screen. Eventually, we see a big white circle begin to appear, and we realize that it is actually a planet. We slowly move up from the original black screen (which is actually a planet), and more unto the white circle with some light behind it. What connotations do these images carry? - These images carry an interesting connotation, as they are beautiful and gives us an image to look at, leaving the audience in awe at the images and the music especially.
