Research: Commercial about Wilson Volleyball

   Research Blog

  •   Im doing a commercial on volleyball, the audience sees the player hitting the volleyball to a teammate or send the ball back over. There are also commercials where it shoes the team warming up.
  • In the commercials the players wear their teams volleyball uniforms, this consists of their Jersey's their shorts and their knee pads and their shoes.
  • The appearance of the players could be sweaty and tired or they could be warming up which then they would be clam and focused.
  • The scene throughout the commercial is medium speed paced and the reason for this is that the game of volleyball a lot can happen in a short amount of time

  • Some quotes that Wilson use are "own the beach", "control the court" , "play your way" The quotes help excite the viewers.
  • In the video the players are always playing with a Wilson volleyball so you know that the commercial is about Wilson and their product.
  • Commercials will sometimes include famous volleyball players like players that play volleyball in the olympics.

Creative Critical Review Qustions

How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?     My product uses conventions from the volleyball aspect such the sand courts, these are one of the many places a volleyball game can be held. Another convention used in my product was the props, the props included the volleyball net, and the volleyball its self. These are two very important, the net is what sets up the boundary between both teams and the volleyball is what you play the game with, without it there could be no game.  2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?   My product engages with the audience from the start you hear the crowd in a roar of cheering which will catch the viewers attention then it rolls into the clips of the person serving then moving into a setting position then finally blocking the volleyball which keeps them focused and at the end shows a quotes Own the Court by Wilson....

Editing Blog for Music Video

Image
Well Marius and I when we finished filming our video we came to the conclusion that he would be doing the editing for the Music Video. The reason for this is because he is better at using editing software than I am which is a big help for me. But if I am to assume what Marius did was this he uploaded all the clips from the filming we did. Then he put the clips in order from beginning to end. Then he played through them to make sure there is no error in the play through. While he would go through and see if there are any errors in the play through he would most likely shorten the video if need be in places that can be easily removed and won't mess up the flow of the video. Once Marius get done with that part he would most likely go into the transitions to make sure he would be able make them as smooth as possible. He would then work on the intro of the music video so it goes along with the pace of the music. Then Marius would go find the song that we are going to use. Marius would ...

Introduction to the Music Video Project

Image
I am working with one of my good friends on this project. We have done projects like this before and we have always done really well together. We are both able to go to each other's places when ever and we both have pretty flexible schedules. Which makes it really easy for us to get together and think about this project. His name is Marius Brossard, some of the projects we have done together are a math music video. We have also done a parody to never going to give you up way back in eight grade. We chose to do a song from the rock genre. The song we are picking to do is Highway to Hell by ACDC. The reason why we chose this song is one we both like the rock genre very much. The second reason is that we have some good ideas to do when filming. The third reason is that the song is just a head banger. We also have some ideas when it comes to the way we are going to shoot the video. We also have some ideas on how we are going to acting during the filming process. I myself wanted to go ...
