Research: Commercial about Wilson Volleyball

  •   Im doing a commercial on volleyball, the audience sees the player hitting the volleyball to a teammate or send the ball back over. There are also commercials where it shoes the team warming up. 
  • In the commercials the players wear their teams volleyball uniforms, this consists of their Jersey's their shorts and their knee pads and their shoes. 
  • The appearance of the players could be sweaty and tired or they could be warming up which then they would be clam and focused.
  • The scene throughout the commercial is medium speed paced and the reason for this is that the game of volleyball a lot can happen in a short amount of time 



  • Some quotes that Wilson use are "own the beach", "control the court" , "play your way" The quotes help excite the viewers.
  • In the video the players are always playing with a Wilson volleyball so you know that the commercial is about Wilson and their product.
  • Commercials will sometimes include famous volleyball players like players that play volleyball in the olympics.

  In order to learn more about our genre, our group watched Lost Girls, a murder mystery movie released in 2020. This movie is a nice classic murder mystery, similar to the likes of Clue and Murder on the Orient Express.  So today we have finishers with the editing of our video. This was a good thing for us because we are able to see our final product. Once we finished editing we looked over our video. We were looking them to see if anything was bad. We looked it over and everything seemed fine. We then were talking about what to do next. This is where we had some discussion. We had to talk about what we wanted to do next. One person wanted to relax and do nothing. One other person wanted to finish up the rest of the blogs. And I had no clue what to do. We then had an argument on what we should do it went nowhere. Then once we stopped arguing we then had to leave Marius place cause it got late. After we got home we texted each other. Title Research: 2001: A Space Odyssey

  What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? - During the Opening sequence, there is, at first, nothing. Then, about 45 seconds in, we get to see the first name. That name is Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, the company who made this movie. The next name, which appears soon after, is that of Stanley Kubrick, the producer of the movie. Finally, we see the title screen. What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? -In the opening sequence, the first image is an all black screen. Eventually, we see a big white circle begin to appear, and we realize that it is actually a planet. We slowly move up from the original black screen (which is actually a planet), and more unto the white circle with some light behind it. What connotations do these images carry? - These images carry an interesting connotation, as they are beautiful and gives us an image to look at, leaving the audience in awe at the images and the music especially.
